Louisiana Men Missing Presumed Dead After Boat Crash

Following a boat crash on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri two men from Louisiana are presumed dead.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the two men are 40 year old Bradley Dunphy of Lafayette, Louisiana, and 49 year old Richard “Richie” Prince of Metaire, Louisiana.

The accident happened on Friday night, August 26 at around 7 p.m. near Sunrise Beach when the men’s boat, a 2013 MTI, being driven by Prince, became airborne, rolled and then hit the water and flipped upside down.

The boat was pulled from the lake the same day but dive crews continued to search for the men’s bodies on the Saturday. They believe that one was ejected but they are both presumed drowned.

The depth of the lake in that area is 74 to 82 feet, and the searchers are now using side sonar scans as well as divers. In addition a No-Wake zone has been implemented in a one mile area around the search site.
